Théo Le Godec

Toxicologist

Theo graduated from the Université de Bretagne Occidentale with a Licence’s Degree (BSc equivalent) in 2010, and a Master’s Degree in Health and Biology with specialisation in Toxicological Risk Assessment for the Consumer in 2012. Since then, he has held various safety science roles.

At British American Tobacco, he supported product stewardship and risk assessment for 2 years (2017-2019). This involved identification of relevant in vitro models and monitoring safety studies conducted at external laboratories.

Theo has also acted as a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Study director at CiToxLAB and Concept Life Science, for 1 (2013-2014) and 4 years (2019-2023), respectively.

At Concept Life Sciences, Theo was a senior scientist supporting clients with their Endocrine Disruption assessment strategies. He was instrumental in the development, validation, and introduction to market of a suite of novel in vitro assays for thyroid disruption.

Theo is a member of the Royal Society of Biology (MRSB), the British Toxicology Society, and the European Society for Toxicology In Vitro. He has a keen interest in the application of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) to safety assessment.
