A small investigation was conducted to evaluate the skin sensitisation potential of agrochemical active ingredients in the Genomic Allergen Rapid Detection (GARD) assay when comparing to previously available mammalian data. The aim was to ascertain a level of predictive confidence in assigning the appropriate classification for human health protection in the regulatory safety assessments of active ingredients when compared to regulatory mammalian skin sensitisation studies. In addition, understand any potential limitations of the GARD assay with regards to chemical space and applicability domain for agrochemicals.
