Penman Consulting has the position of Regulatory Toxicologist available. The permanent role will be flexible and can adapt to the skills of the job holder, allowing significant scope for further development arising from the growth of the business. The job is based in Oxfordshire, UK or in Brussels, Belgium.
The major focus will be on supporting the scientific regulatory work Penman Consulting does on chemical substances within the chemical and petrochemical industries – specifically understanding the health hazards through evaluation of scientific data, performing risk assessments, and communication of those assessments to third parties through different mechanisms.
The successful candidate will have a sound toxicological background with at least 5 years of relevant experience. They will have an interest in further developing their career within toxicology and the global regulatory framework. They will work within a multidisciplinary team of project managers, regulatory specialists, toxicologists, environmental scientists, and IT specialists.
As Penman Consulting is an outward looking organisation, the jobholder will be expected to assist in the continued development of the company working both internally and with our large client base. Some of the activities will include project management, which is essential for the smooth running of projects and good client relationships.
The jobholder is expected to and will be encouraged to, continue their personal development and learning, with an emphasis on mammalian toxicology and global regulatory developments.
