Penman Managed Services
REACHsuite is an excellent tool but for a small number of substances it may not be a cost-effective outright purchase. Like all software tools you have to learn to use it and it has to be fed with data, so it needs time to administer - time not everyone has. If you are concerned with just a few substances it is the end product -registration- which is key.With Penman Managed Services, we manage the SIEF(s) and we use our instance of REACHsuite so the task is efficient. We only do what we are asked to do - this could be SIEF communications, management of work planning and cost sharing, or we can bring in technical or legal service providers if necessary.
The usual model is such that we are contracted by the lead registrant but the costs will later be shared between all active participants. This works much better than trying to get all SIEF members to contribute up-front, but it does need someone to take a lead. However, the result is that participants can see a plan for registration and a means to get there.
Your project team will consist of our Director, a Project Manager and a Project Officer. The Director will provide strategic advice and technical input on toxicology, exposure and regulatory matters. The Project Manager's role involves daily management and external representation; they will propose the work plan, own the project plan, develop and manage the financial plan and manage additional experts. The Project Officer is your regular point of contact and will provide a helpdesk service as well as keeping you informed with progress reports. They will organise and minute meetings and manage the SIEFs
